By Peter Walker

Synthetic turf comes with numerous benefits to users and therefore it is being highly adopted. Since there is an increase in adoption, many installation approaches have been created to simplify the procedure. When the conditions are perfect, synthetic turf may be installed in a basic way. It is good to note that two installations cannot be done exactly the same as the conditions normally differ from place to place. When in search of Fake Grass Florida should be given priority.

A perfect installation usually involves a number of steps that need to be followed in a specific order. The first step is called the pre installation phase. This step involves removing any materials that may be existing in the location of installation. This step also involves rough grading the location to create a solid sub base. Rough grading is done so as to unearth any underlying materials such as irrigation systems, pipes, and electric wiring among others.

Base preparation is the second step and it entails installation of a half an inch of crushed base. In some instances, less than a half an inch of the base can be installed. This base offers the best drainage when it rains. Three inches deep into the ground should be the depth at which installation of this layer.

When spreading the base, one should be careful to avoid slanting. The final appearance is largely determined by the appearance of the base. The next step is to compact the base layer by tamping, vibrating and rolling the gravel. This is necessary to make the base firm to enable one to be able to drive nails through it.

The next step is to install the weed cloth layer, which is meant to prevent the growth of weeds. Weeds usually grow from the soil underneath through the base of the turf to the surface. However, it is best to understand that the installation of the weed cloth layer is optional. If the product is meant for pet usage, then installation of weed cloth layer is not recommendable.

Weed cloth layer needs to overlap by six inches when doing the installation. If improperly installed or secured into a place, the cloth is y likely to move. Also, to fit the area of installation properly, trimming needs to be done on the cloth. Along the borders, a gap of a quarter an inch needs to be left to facilitate easy tucking.

Ensuring straight edges of the product are lined along straight edges is essential when doing the installation. To prevent wastage, one needs to minimize on cutting and fitting. Flat head nails should then be applied to hold the turf in place. The blades appear in a specific direction, therefore, an individual needs make a decision on the direction of their turf earlier.

After installation, one should use a wonder bar to hide the edges of the turf. Infill should then be applied to complete the installation. A power brush should be used to force the infill down to the base of the blades. Infill come in different varieties so one should choose whichever they prefer depending on the application.
